Dr. Ramiz Mogannam

Dr. Ramiz Mogannam is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with a comprehensive background in both medical and dental care. He is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He began his academic journey at the University of California, Davis, graduating in 2009 with a major in Exercise Biology. He furthered his education with a Master’s degree in Medical Science from Boston University, graduating in 2011, which provided him with a robust foundation in advanced medical principles and research.

Dr. Mogannam earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA, in 2015. Prior to specializing, he completed a general practice residency in Brooklyn, NY, in 2016, gaining a broad experience in general dentistry. He then worked as a general dentist for 3 years in Tracy, CA. His career is marked by a commitment to excellence and continuous learning as a general dentist, evidenced by over 300 continuing education credits.

Following this, he completed a one-year internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, NJ. He then undertook a comprehensive four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the same institution. His residency included extensive training in managing medically complex patients and various surgical disciplines, including trauma surgery, benign tumors and malignant pathology, head and neck infections, orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, dento-alveolar surgery, bone grafting, and dental implants.

Outside of his professional practice, he is passionate about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts, and snowboarding, and he cherishes spending quality time with his family.
